Heading on to Resolute Bay

 Morgen verlassen wir Inuvik und fliegen nach Resolute Bay. Dafür werden wir in Sachs Harbour halten und Justin und Christian abholen. Wir bleiben nur eine Nacht in Resolute und danach gehts weiter über Quaanaaq, wo wir wieder ein paar Leute einsammeln, nach Station Nord in Grönland. Dort entladen wir einen Großteil der Ausrüstung und am nächsten Tag fliegen Alec und ich weiter nach Alert.

Von Alert und danach GRönland sind wieder Messflüge geplant. Diesmal zusammen mit der Twin Otter mit ASIRAs von der DTU und der P3 von NASA's IceBridge Programm. Die letzten Jahre gab es mehrer Versuche drei Flugzeuge für die Messungen in Tnadem zu fliegen, aber bisher hat es nie geklappt. MEistens weil es Problem mit dem EM bird gab. Ich hoffe dieses Jahr klappts für eine vollständige CryoVEx Kampagne.

Manchmal bin ich erstaunt was wir alles dabei haben. Wir sind voll ausgestattet und gestern beim Beladen des Flugzeugs hab ich festgestellt, dass wir sogar 2 Ersatzräder für das Flugzueg dabei haben. Ein kleines und ein großes.

The Twin Otter from DTU

 Tomorrow we will leave Inuvik and after a short stop at Sachs Harbour, where we are going to pick up Christian and Justin, head on to Resolute Bay.
After one night there we will head on, stopping in Quaanaaq for refueling and picking up some more people and then go to station north in Greenland. We are unload the eqipment for the ice camps and then Alec and I are gona fly to Alert for some more surveying.

In Alert and in Greenland we are going to have some more tandem flights. This time with the Twin Otter from DTU and the P3 that is flying NASA's IceBridge program. Several attempts have been made in the last view years to do those flights with 3 planes but it never worked out so far. Lets hope for the best this time.
Sometimes I'm amazed about all the stuff we carry with us. Yesterday we were loading the plane and from our eqipmentwe also loaded a small and a big spare plane wheel.
